NNA - Talks between US and Russian officials on the conflict in Ukraine ended Monday evening after lasting more than 12 hours, Russian news agencies reported, citing unnamed sources.

The closed-door talks aimed primarily at establishing a partial truce in Ukraine after more than three years of Russian aggression. TASS reported that the talks ended "after more than 12 hours."

The White House and the Kremlin are scheduled to issue a statement on Tuesday, TASS news agency reported, citing a source within the Russian delegation.

RIA Novosti news agency confirmed that the statement reached between the two countries will be issued on Tuesday.
