NNA - MP Fouad Makhzoumi wrote today on the "X" platform: "Establishing a megacenter to manage municipal and parliamentary elections is not merely an administrative or technical measure, but rather a major reform step, the results of which will be to increase the participation rate in the elections and prevent the forces that practice intimidation and extortion of voters from exercising their influence. It also contributes to liberating the electoral process from the financial factor to a high degree, and reducing the cost of exercising the right to vote for the voter."

He thus considered it "unacceptable" to deal with the establishment of the megacenter with deliberate disregard and technical or timely pretexts or excuses.

"I hereby call on all officials to decide on the approval of this reform and modernization clause, and I will follow up on this matter until it is implemented," Makhzoumi asserted.

He continued, "What is required is to implement a reformed electoral law, particularly the clause related to expatriate voting for the entire parliament in all constituencies, rather than restricting expatriates by allocating them six seats and denying them the right to vote in all constituencies."
