NNA - More than 50 Ukrainian generals and officers were killed in a Kalibr missile strike targeting a command center in the Ukrainian province of Dnepropetrovsk, the Russian Defense Ministry announced today.

Russian Defense Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said in a statement reported by "Russia Today" that during the past day, high-precision long-range "Kaliber" missiles launched from the sea hit the headquarters of the Ukrainian forces near the village of Shiroka Dacha in the Dnipropetrovsk region, while a work meeting was held for the leaders of the "Alexandria" strategic operational group there.

The spokesman explained that as a result of the strike, more than 50 generals and officers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were killed, including representatives of the General Staff, the leadership of the "Kakhovka" group, air assault forces and formations operating on the Nikolaev and Zaporozhye axes.
