NNA - The Brazilian Embassy in Lebanon announced in a statement that: "Brazil has donated to Lebanon since early October 21 tons of medicines, 40 tons of food supplies and 6.5 thousand blankets. The supply of medicines includes cancer treatment pills donated to the Children's Cancer Center of Lebanon.

The humanitarian assistance has been pursued under the coordination of the Brazilian Agency of Cooperation, with the involvement of the Brazilian Ministry of Health, the organization "United for Lebanon" of the Lebanese diaspora in Brazil and the Lebanese Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro.

The donated goods were transported to Beirut by the Brazilian Air Force."
