NNA - Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghassan Salamé, received in his office at the National Library in Sanayeh the Ambassador of Egypt to Lebanon, Mr. Alaa Moussa, on a congratulatory visit for assuming office at the Ministry of Culture. They discussed the latest developments on the local scene.
At the end of the meeting, the Egyptian ambassador said: "My visit comes within the framework of congratulating Minister Salamé on his appointment as Minister of Culture. He also affirmed that the minister is known for his broad experience in the field of culture , adding that Lebanon today needs not only young and new faces, but also personalities with significant experience and history to overcome the upcoming challenges.
He also added that Minister Salamé represents a glimmer of hope and an asset for the Lebanese government, affirming that during our meeting, Salamé clearly expressed interest to files related to cultural affairs, especially the antiquities file, which is a very important one.he also affirmed that there is no doubt that the presence of Minister Salamé in the government adds a touch of experience and heritage that Lebanon and its government need in the coming period.
He continued that this meeting was also an opportunity to discuss the situation on the Lebanese scene,where optimism prevailed for a new era for Lebanon, and Arab, international and regional support for the presidency and the government.
He also stressed that there is a momentum of great importance for Lebanon to seize in order to overcome the difficulties it faces. He also reaffirmed that we stand by Lebanon and will continue to support it.
Ambassador Moussa concluded by saying: "Minister Salamé has important ideas regarding the functioning of the government, which is of great importance. We therefore wish all the success to Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, the ministers, and especially Minister Salamé."
