NNA - Caretaker Public Works and Transportation Minister, Ghazi Aridi, on Friday patronized a ceremony to label the main VIP lounge at International Rafic Hariri Airport after Assaad Qoteit, the Honorary President of the Council of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).



The honorary ceremony comes in recognition of Koteit's dauntless efforts in the field of civil aviation and world air transportation over the past 50 years, including 30 years as head of the international organization.



The ceremony took place at the Airport's VIP lounge in the presence of Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon, Hillary Adams, Civil Aviation Director General Daniel Al-Haibi, and senior airport officials and concerned dignitaries.



In his delivered word, Minister Aridi heaped praises on the outstanding personality characterizing Koteit as a "successful man" in the global aviation domain, saying his resolution and vision stand as a role model for future generations.
