NNA - Former Telecommunications Minister Johnny Corm categorically denied iin a statement today what was published in the latest article of Al-Akhbar newspaper, dated March 25, 2025, regarding the granting of licenses to the Waves company while he was serving as Minister of Telecommunications.

Corm emphasized that "during his tenure as Minister of TeleCommunications, no license was issued to any internet service provider or information service provider to introduce any equipment that could utilize the frequency bands for mobile services of all generations, and no decisions were taken regarding granting rights or privileges to any company outside the approved legal and administrative frameworks."
