NNA - Head of the North Lebanon Merchants Association, Assaad Hariri, on Tuesday visited the Uruguayan Ambassador to Lebanon, Carlos Guitto.
According to a statement by Assaad Hariri, the discussion touched on "ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries and to bolster joint trade relations."
Ambassador Guitto congratulated the election of President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun, and the designation of Judge Nawaf Salam as Prime Minister, expressing his hope that "this new phase will bring opportunities for fruitful cooperation and coordination between Lebanon and Uruguay in various fields."
In turn, Hariri highlighted "the importance of bilateral relations and the readiness of North Lebanon merchants to support everything that would enhance the partnership between the two countries, which would positively reflect on the economic and social development of both sides."
