NNA - The “Depositors’ Cry” association is currently carrying out a sit-in in front of the Lebanese Central Bank in Hamra in rejection against the “unjust circulars to depositors.”

Meanwhile, a number of depositors moved to the “Beirut and the Arab Countries” (BBAC) Bank and “Al-Mawared” Bank branches in Hamra, and are trying to destroy the fortified facades of both banks which are currently closed. 

Consequently, our correspondent reported the arrival of additional Lebanese Army and anti-riot squad reinforcements to the Lebanese Central Bank and its surroundings. 

Additional reinforcements also arrived in front of other banks in Hamra.
