NNA - Public Health Minister Firass Abiad, on Sunday, inspected Tripoli Governmental Hospital, during a tour of northern Lebanon.

The Minister welcomed the large number of citizens and residents participating in the Pfizer Immunization Marathon, stressing the intensification of the vaccination campaign especially in light of the arrival of the 'Omicron' variable to Lebanon.

Abiad pointed out that the hospital situation is difficult and does not support the further spread of the virus.

On the other hand, he explained that the cases of contamination are minor, but the necessary precautions must be taken.
