NNA - Freshly released Abbas Choueib, one of the nine Lebanese pilgrims who had been held hostages in Azaz, visited Monday his hometown Sharqiyeh in South Lebanon, where scores of rapturous locals and relatives gathered to welcome their son.
Choueib thanked House Speaker Nabih Berri, Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, General Security Chief Brigadier General Abbas Ibrahim and the vice Head of the Higher Shiite Council Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan.
"We have a cause in Syria. If Syria is gone, then will be Lebanon and the Resistance. We must preserve the path of the Islamic Resistance," he said.
