NNA - The Korean battalion operating within UNIFIL in southern Lebanon and the administration of Martyr Mohammad Saad High School celebrated at the school's theater. The event was attended by the Director General of Amal Educational Institutions, Dr. Bilal Zeineddine; the commander of the Korean battalion operating within UNIFIL, Colonel Yoo Jong-yeon; the organizational official of the Amal Movement in Jabal Amel, Engineer Ali Ismail; the school's principal, Mohammad Al-Abd; members of the administrative body; the representative of the Parents' Committee, Dr. Shireen Ajami; and a number of Korean battalion officers.
The ceremony began with a reception for the Korean battalion commander by the school's taekwondo students, Colonel Yoo Jong-yeon.
Colonel Yoo Jong-yeon then spoke about the strong relationship between the Korean battalion and Martyr Mohammad Saad High School, working towards a bright future for the students who have endured the difficult circumstances experienced by Lebanon in general and the south in particular. The Director General then delivered a speech in which he welcomed the Korean battalion commander, Colonel Yoo Jong-yeon, and the officers of the Korean battalion to Martyr Mohammed Saad High School. He noted that Amal Educational Institutions extends its thanks, appreciation, and respect for the humanitarian assistance you provide to students and your assistance in helping them acquire modern education using extensive and distinguished technology, especially given the difficult circumstances we are experiencing after the war.
The two leaders then exchanged appreciation shields, and a luncheon was held in honor of Colonel Yoo Jong-yeon.
