NNA - Head of the Press Editors Syndicate, Joseph al-Qousseifi, contacted today the Syndicate member, Joel Maroun, a correspondent for Russia Today TV, checking on her condition after surviving Israeli enemy sniper targets while covering the event of the return of the people of southern Kfar Kila to their town, for three consecutive times before the Lebanese army in the town intervened and worked to withdraw her from the coverage site.
Al-Qousseifi denounced "this deliberate attack by the enemy army against journalists and media professionals with predetermination, as it had previously attacked them over the past months and caused more than twelve martyrs to fall and more than twenty to be injured, some of whom suffered permanent and temporary disabilities."
He praised "the efforts of colleagues, photographers and technical crews in all media outlets, who are carrying out their duties with all professionalism to keep pace with the return of the southerners to their cities and towns that were occupied and destroyed by Israel in its recent aggression."
The Syndicate Dean called for respecting international laws and resolutions and for the Hebrew state to withdraw its forces at the time specified in the ceasefire resolution issued by the United Nations.
