NNA - The Lebanese Nurses Syndicate on Tuesday condemned the ongoing attacks on hospitals, highlighting recent threats and damage in Beirut and its southern suburbs.

In a statement, the syndicate revealed that several hospitals have been forced out of service, while others were targeted in blatant violations of international laws and treaties.

The syndicate urged the international community, the World Health Organization, and the International Council of Nurses to pressure Israel to stop targeting healthcare facilities. They stressed that healthcare workers and first responders must be protected to continue their life-saving work.

The statement warned that the continued attacks on Lebanon’s healthcare system would have catastrophic consequences, describing them as a near "genocide" against a nation that has always stood as a symbol of life and defender of human rights.
