NNA - Caretaker Minister of Environment, Nasser Yassin, held a working meeting this morning with the Secretary-General of the National Council for Scientific Research, Tamara Al-Zein, and the team of the National Center for Geophysics in Bhanness.
Following the meeting, Yassin said: "There was a scientific discussion with the center's scientists about monitoring earthquakes and tsunamis, but the main goal was to see what the center's monitoring devices have recorded in terms of irrational signals over the years, which, after assessment, appear to have their concentration and timing coupling with the work of the violating quarries that breach the mountains by blowing them up..."
Yassin continued: "We have filed dozens of lawsuits against the owners of the violating quarries and requested their closure with red wax, and we will send this scientific information to the Cases Authority to include it in the lawsuit files, and to the Ministry of Interior to implement the closure decisions."
