NNA - The Consulate of Sierra Leone expressed, in an issued statement on Sunday, its "deep regret over the painful accident that occurred yesterday in the Bauchrieh area in Lebanon, which claimed the lives of five female Sierra Leone nationals, in addition to injuring two others who are in critical condition in the hospital.”

The statement continued to indicate that it has received more than one version of the reasons for the accident, while the relevant Lebanese authorities are pursuing their investigations in this regard.

“Therefore, the Consulate, along with the Sierra Leonean government, is following-up and awaiting the results of the official Lebanese investigation to appropriately build upon them,” the statement concluded.
