NNA - Caretaker Minister of Public Works and Transport, Ali Hamieh, indicated in a statement on Saturday, that "the inspection tour in the port of Beirut is to follow-up on the progress of the process that was previously directed towards separating the rubble of the northern side of the silos, specifically grains, from cement and iron."

He added: "This comes within context of ongoing works to treat these landfills, within an environmental scientific framework and in coordination with the relevant authorities of ministries and departments."
