NNA - International envoy, Lakhdar Brahimi, arrived in Rafik Hariri International Airport at 10:35 a.m. on Monday, coming from Tehran aboard a private jet.
Upon his arrival, the U.N.-Arab League envoy held side-talks with the United Nations Secretary General's Special Representative in Lebanon, Derek Plumbly, amid stringent security measures.
Following his 20-minute talks with Plumbly, Brahimi left Beirut airport -- heading to Syria by land -- for high-level talks with Syrian officials, within the frame of preparations underway for Geneva 2 conference.
The International envoy gave no statement on emerging, but sufficed by saying "we will talk upon my return."
