NNA - The French Embassy in Lebanon denied in an issued statement on Sunday recent newsdaily published news of directed accusations against the Embassy as being a "catering headquarter to terrorist acts."


"France's commitment to combating terrorism in all its forms is a permanent commitment," stressed the Embassy statement, denouncing such "highly serious and false allegations."

"France, which remains strongly committed to the defense of pluralism and freedom of the press, both in Lebanon and throughout the world, does however differentiate in its approach to published news between criticism and slander," the statement concluded.
