Hobeish urges for prompt solution to Tripoli violence

NNA - Future Bloc held a political meeting in Aakar Sunday attended by MP Hadi Hobeish who asserted that the security plan for Tripoli does not protect the city from clashes between Jabal Mohsen and Bab Tabbaneh as long as illegal arms, like that of Hezbollah, held people hostage in their own country.

Perhaps the most dangerous thing that Lebanon was facing was the complete loss of a sense of security, according to the MP. The arms of Hezbollah, its allies and the gang of Bashar Assad in Jabal Mohsen headed by Refaat Eid threatened the security of not only Tripoli but also the entire country, as the violence could spill over to other regions.

"Caretaker Interior Minister, Marwan Charbel, has hatched a security plan for the sake of stopping car bombs. Here we have to salute the achievements of the Intelligence Branch which uncovered the bombing net of the mosques of Salam and Taqwa. However, just because a suspect is from Jabal Mohsen, this does not mean that all the people of Jabal Mohsen are behind this issue."

Hobeish added that Charbel's security plan did not tackle ways to halt clashes in Tripoli. He urged the Minister and all leaders of security forces to design a strategy that could solve Tripoli's conundrum.

On the issue of cabinet formation, the MP stated that the best solution was for a neutral government to take over that is free of both March 14 and 8 Camps.
