NNA - Member of Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc, Ali Fayyad, lamented Sunday the bizarre security tensions that hit some areas in Lebanon, noting that these tensions must push political parties to act responsibly.
"The Lebanese public has the right to know the truth. They must understand who is responsible for the explosion of security in Tripoli, and who is responsible for hindering the formation of government and non- holding of legislative sessions," he said at a ceremony in Nabatiyeh Sunday.
According to Fayyad some regional powers adopt the policy of escalation and threaten the stability of the region.
"Lebanon is now hostage to these policies. Our civilized country is hostage to a Bedouin policy, characterized by vindictive attitude, hatred, resentment and sectarianism."
Fayyad deemed the fighting in Tripoli absurd, as it served no cause.
"The fighting complicates the condition of the country and pushes it towards collapse on political and security levels," he concluded.
