NNA - Ahmad Nasser was Friday elected as the new President of the World Lebanese Cultural Union for a two-year term, during the WLCU's 15th world conference, held under the chairmanship of former Head Massaad Hajal, at UNESCO Palace.



"I shall prioritize the unity of expatriates. I shall do my best to keep the immigration-related work away from politics in its narrow and sectarian meaning," the newly elected President vowed.



"Expatriates are facing major challenges on all economic, social, security, and livelihood levels. Political rift in Lebanon must be a motive for unity away from polarizations and tensions," he added.
