NNA - Kataeb MP Sami Gemayel had been Friday to Maarab for talks with Lebanese Forces leader, Samir Geagea, over the means to bolster coordination between the two parties, both allies within the March 14 coalition, despite what the Metn lawmaker termed as minor disparities between them.



"We are interested in having the relation between Kataeb and LF built upon mutual respect," Gemayel told reporters following the meeting.



He announced that a mechanism of communication between both parties would be set soon in that respect, adding that the Kataeb will reveal the characteristics of the new President of the Republic on the party's foundation day.



Gemayel did not fail to pick holes in the condition of the Lebanese state nowadays, saying it is now in the hands of groups that have decided to trespass the law and drag the country into stagnation pending the end of their battles in Syria.



On battered Tripoli, he explained that the problem consisted of the state's failure to control weapons and the situation in the northern city.


"We have demanded, since more than three years, to disarm fighters in Tripoli," he reminded.
