NNA - Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Zasypkin, on Friday highlighted the necessity to skirt any emerging trend consisting of terrorism and extremism, calling for joining and intensifying peace efforts worldwide.



"We seek to carry on efforts with all sides supporting peaceful solutions to the regional crises in order to restore stability and security," he said in remarks made following his visit with Head of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party, MP Assaad Hardan, at the party's headquarters.



The pair discussed an array of affairs and developments on the level of Lebanon, Syria, and the broader Arab and Middle East region.


They agreed on the importance of dialogue and stability, and shirking extremism and terrorism.


Both men also pledged to carry on communication in compliance with the ongoing ties between Russia and SSNP.



Zasypkin noted that understanding should be restored to the Arab societies and communities, on the basis of the international legitimacy, namely justice and equality.
