NNA - Former Internal Security Forces Chief, General Ashraf Rifi, on Friday said it was no more acceptable for some members of the Syrian regime and Hezbollah to harm Tripoli, calling upon the state to take the initiative and restore calm to the city by a well-controlled authority.
"We corroborate our support for the state logic and our rejection to any self-imposed security measures," said Rifi, who added, "Tripoli can no more bear suffers and we even can no more stay witnesses to what's going on in the city."
He wrapped up, "Let [outgoing] PM Najib Mikati and Tripoli's ministers refrain from their authority posts and stay in the city."
