NNA - Outgoing Prime Minister Najib Mikati held a series of meetings Friday to discuss the situation in Tripoli and follow up on the Army and Security forces' implementation of the field measures agreed upon in yesterday's meeting at the Baabda Palace.
Mikati also contacted by phone the President of the Republic Michel Sleiman with whom he tackled the latest updates regarding Tripoli and the preparations for the next meeting to be held in Baabda, this afternoon, to discuss the necessary judicial measures to be taken against security violators.
Mikati discussed with Tripoli's Deputies the field conditions and the need to implement the security and judicial procedures and lift the political cover off all the saboteurs.
The outgoing Premier received a phone call from the Future bloc Head, MP Fouad Siniora with whom he reviewed the current situation.
Siniora confirmed the support of all the decisions made to control the situation in the capital of the North.
