NNA - Member of Parliament, Deputy Ghassan Moukhaiber, called upon all political parties to exit the political - constitutional obstinacy towards more rational discussions to meet the citizens' interests.
Moukhaiber regretted limiting discussions to legislative parliamentary work, rather than the means to activate the parliament's work.
"Given the absence of an independent authority such as a constitutional council that enjoys authorities to explain the constitution, there is no way to exit the current crisis except by calling on all parliamentary blocs to review their positions, and the Parliament's Bureau to meet one more time to reconsider an agenda which is not 'loose'," Moukhaiber told the "Voice of Lebanon" radio on Tuesday.
Responding to a question whether the "Change and Reform" bloc would participate in the legislative session on Wednesday, Moukhaiber said that he "supports activating the parliament's work"; however, he confirmed that the bloc's final position would be taken today afternoon during their weekly meeting.
Moukhaiber hoped the parliamentary meetings today would lead to common grounds among the different parliamentary blocs.
