NNA - Kataeb Party stressed the stringent need for national leaderships to come out with a national position authorizing the formation of an all-inclusive government that addresses pending files, notably amidst the current risks surrounding the nation.
"The country can no longer bear further delay and procrastination.. The solution can only rise from the core of the Constitution rather than overthrowing national charter and constitutional norms," Kataeb said in the wake of its Politburo regular meeting on Monday.
The meeting was presided over by Party Head, Amine Gemayel, to tackle the current developments in the country.
Kataeb warned against the risks of pushing the country towards further obstruction of state institutions' work at all levels, and called for filling the vacant administrative posts, starting from vital ones.
On the other hand, Phalange Party renewed its call for a permanent workshop to come out with a new election law, which would pave the way for shortening the Parliament's extended mandate and resort the soonest possible to voters' will.
Kataeb warned of the "worsening of the Syrian crisis," and called on the international community to intervene prior to the expansion of fighting zone to encompass Qalamoun and areas adjacent to the eastern Lebanese borders; the matter that might entail serious repercussions on the Lebanese interior- either at the security or social levels.
The Party also welcomed the safe and sound return of the Lebanese kidnapped in Syria's Azaz to their homeland, calling for continued efforts to obtain the release of the two kidnapped bishops in Syria and the release of all detainees in Syrian jails.
