NNA - Oil and water are resources prone to place us on the regional map, caretaker minister of Energy and Hydraulic Resources Jibran Baseel stated during his inauguration of an artesian well at Houb/Tannoureen today.
It is unfortunate that such oil and hydraulic resources bestowed on us by the Creator get blocked by whoever contradicts his will, Baseel retorted. Such natural resources enable us not to exact any price from our own pocket in exchange of any peaceful settlement, he went on. Therefore I promise that by the end of 2014 all of Batroun would become fully watered following our successes in doing the same in nearby parts, he added. Thus far, US $ 27 million were earmarked for the Tannoureen irrigation project, Baseel concluded.
