NNA - Head of Lebanese Forces, Samir Geagea, extended in a statement Sunday his congratulations to the released men who were kidnapped in Aazaz and to their families, but reminded the state that hundreds of Lebanese thought to be in Syrian prisons for over fifteen years remain missing.
Another high-profile kidnap case that continued to be pending was that of the two bishops, Boulos Yazigi and Youhana Ibrahim.
The passive stance of the Lebanese State towards the missing cases of hundreds of Lebanese was curious to say the least, Geagea contended, advising the government to treat them with the keenness it did the abductees of Aazaz, as all are Lebanese citizens with equal rights.
"There are two hundred documented files of Lebanese prisoners in Syria which remain dormant in the drawers of the Lebanese State, on top of whom is that of our friend Boutros Khawand."
