NNA - There remains all those unaccounted for Lebanese who went missing during the civil strife, President Michel Sleiman told his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul in a phone contact Sunday. Having thanked him for his good offices in obtaining the liberty of the nine Lebanese abducted in A'zaz 17 months ago, he congratulated Gul on the safe arrival of the Turkish pilot and co-pilot, kidnapped in a tit for tat operation by gunmen here nearly 2 months ago.
The unity of purpose manifested among the Lebanese during the kidnapping crisis helped create ample pressure in pursuit of this much desired happy end, he added. Aspiring for a quick release of the 2 Syrian prelates, he also hoped for unveiling the fate of all those missing Lebanese Sleiman concluded.
