NNA - General Security Director General, Abbas Ibrahim, considered Saturday's achievement as a glorious victory for Lebanon.


"Negotiations with the Turkish, Qatari and Syrian sides have yielded the fruitful outcome we are witnessing this day," said Ibrahim in a TV statement upon arrival at Rafic Hariri International Airport shortly.


"We thank Qatar from all our heart, and we heartily thank Turkey and President Bashar al-Assad as well, who facilitated this mission," added Ibrahim. However, he noted that a lot of work is yet to be done, since the 2 bishops are still missing alongside other kidnapped.


In response to a question regarding the negotiation process, Ibrahim said: "There is no doubt that it was difficult, but nothing is intricate when there is a will."
