Quick intervention by Lebanese politicians, religious dignitaries and top security brass to stop the demolition of homes and allow residents to carry out urgent repairs is required, the Popular Committees added. We prefer that the plight of refugees be approached amicably and in a brotherly spirit for, the miserable and appalling conditions have become pretty intolerable inside the camp, the Committees went on. Donor states, the UNRWA and the Lebanese government must see to it that Palestinian refugees get all of their human and civil rights pending such time of Return through the implementation of UN Resolution # 194 calling for their return, the Committees exclaimed.



While calling for full refugee rights, brotherly relations between the two peoples must be maintained, the Popular Committees concluded.
