NNA - Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants condemned the Israeli attack this evening on a densely populated area in the southern suburbs of Beirut, causing panic among civilians and material damage.

The Foreign Ministry called on the countries sponsoring the cessation of hostilities arrangements to pressure Israel to halt its attacks and repeated violations of Security Council Resolution 1701, as this undermines regional peace and security and the Lebanese state's efforts to preserve national sovereignty.

"The Ministry will pursue its contacts with sisterly and friendly countries to put an end to these violations and ensure Israel's withdrawal from all Lebanese areas and points it continues to occupy, while reaffirming Lebanon's commitment to international legitimacy resolutions, particularly Resolution 1701 in all its provisions," the statement concluded.
