NNA - Prime Minister Nawaf Salam condemned Israel's continued attacks on Lebanon and its terrorizing of civilians in their homes, "who are eager to return to normal life."

The Prime Minister urged the countries sponsoring the security arrangements agreement for the cessation of hostilities to take action to halt these attacks and to expedite Israel's full withdrawal from Lebanese territory.

"Lebanon is fully committed to the provisions of Resolution 1701 and the security arrangements agreement," Salam affirmed, adding, "The Lebanese Army is continuing its work and expanding its deployment in the south and throughout all Lebanese territories to extend the authority of the state and restrict the possession of weapons to its sole control."
