NNA - Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghassan Salameh, left Beirut this afternoon, heading to Qatar, as part of a Gulf tour that includes the United Arab Emirates.  

 Minister Salameh will participate in Qatar in the opening of the International conference on Orientalism, which will be hosted in Msheireb, Doha, under the chairmanship of Qatari Minister of Education and Higher Education Sheikha Lolwa bint Rashid Al Khater.

On the sidelines of his visit to Qatar, the Minister of Culture will hold a series of meetings with Qatari officials.

 Minister Salameh's second stop within his Gulf tour will be the United Arab Emirates, where he will participate as a keynote speaker in a panel discussion titled "Heritage for Peace: Preserving Archaeological Sites in Conflict Zones." The session is part of the 34th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which runs from April 26 to May 5 at the ADNEC Abu Dhabi..

 The Minister of Culture will hold a series of meetings with officials in the UAE.
