NNA - During his third stop in the United States, Kataeb bloc member MP Elias Hankash visited Detroit, Michigan, where he met with Lebanon's General Consul in Detroit, Ambassador Bilal Kabalan, in the presence of the head of the Kataeb Party's US region, Shukri al-Masri, and the director of the Washington office of the Kataeb Party's foreign relations department, Zahi Abi Younes.

Hankash discussed with Ambassador Kabalan the situation of the Lebanese community in Michigan and the challenges they face. They also touched on ways to improve consular services and facilitate and automate Lebanese transactions.

Additionally, the issue of expatriate elections and ways to encourage participation, facilitate registration, distribute voters to polling stations, and streamline the voting process featured high during their talks.
