Mnassah: Alertness towards attempts to create discord between army, steadfast people in their villages

NNA - Defense Minister, Major General Michel Mnassah, stressed "Lebanon's rejection of a return to the pre-November 2024 ceasefire status quo, and its forceful confrontation of attempts to undermine the state's efforts to consolidate security and stability across all Lebanese territories, particularly along the southern and eastern borders."

He said, "The Lebanese army has begun investigating the circumstances surrounding the launching of rockets from Lebanon towards the occupied Palestinian territories," calling on the countries sponsoring the ceasefire agreement to "deter the Israeli enemy from its continued violations and attacks under false pretexts."

Mnassah emphasized the importance of activating the work of the monitoring committee emanating from the ceasefire agreement, in coordination with the Lebanese Army, which is performing its duties diligently and responsibly across all Lebanese territory.

The Minister urged the Lebanese to "be aware and vigilant against attempts to sow discord between the Lebanese Army and steadfast citizens in their villages and towns, aiming to undermine trust between them, and to sow discord between the state and the people through intimidation and deception practiced by the Israeli enemy."

"The Lebanese state is continuing to take action at the political, diplomatic, and military levels to ensure Lebanon's sovereignty, the security of its people, the integrity of its territory, and the protection of its borders in the north, east, and south," Mnassah underscored.
