NNA - The Progressive Socialist Party, on Saturday, expressed its regret in a statement, "for the events taking place in the Syrian coastal region, which fall within the framework of foreign attempts to target Syria's security and undermine its internal peace, posing a threat to the security of the entire region."

It stressed "the need for awareness and avoiding the many traps that the remnants of the former regime are trying to set to take revenge for the success of the new administration in overthrowing it."

The party, thus, called for "calm and resorting to the law," stressing "the necessity of supporting the process of rebuilding the new Syrian state and forming its army and security forces, which are the only guarantors of the safety of the brotherly Syrian people of all stripes."
