NNA - Minister of Social Affairs, Haneen Sayed, on Monday marked her first initiative since assuming office by partnering with Banin Association on the launch of “Campaign 10,452”, a nationwide effort to support 10,452 Lebanese families during Ramadan and Easter.
Speaking at the event, Sayed highlighted the campaign’s significance, stating: “The overlap of Ramadan and the Christian fasting season is a reminder of our shared existence and the necessity of preserving national unity. We face the same struggles and challenges, and initiatives like this are an opportunity to extend a helping hand to families across Lebanon, regardless of sect or region.”
For the first time, the ministry is officially partnering with Banin by selecting 3,000 beneficiaries—persons with disabilities over 30 years old, identified through the ministry’s updated disability rights program. They will receive food parcels or medical services at the association’s healthcare center in Hamra.
Sayed stressed that this collaboration aligns with the ministry’s broader vision of strengthening partnerships with active civil society organizations to bridge gaps in social assistance.
The Minister also underscored the importance of digitizing beneficiary databases to ensure aid reaches those in need efficiently and transparently.
“Our priority is to expand existing programs and increase beneficiaries, ensuring that vulnerable communities receive the support they deserve amid ongoing crises,” Sayed concluded.
