NNA -  NNA -  President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun, on Friday met at Baabda Palace, with a delegation from the U.S. Congress, led by Senator Darrell Issa, in the presence of U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon, Lisa Johnson.

President Aoun asked the US Congress delegation to have Washington exert pressure on Israel to complete the withdrawal from the five occupied border points, and to continue supporting the Lebanese army.

During the meeting, Senator Issa congratulated President Aoun on his presidential election, and stressed "the United States of America's support for Lebanon in all areas."
