NNA - House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Wednesday received at the second presidency headquarters in Ain El Tineh, British Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamish Cowell.  

Discussions between the pair reportedly touched on the general situation in Lebanon, political developments, and bilateral relations between the two countries.

Speaker Berri also received in Ain el-Tineh, a delegation from the Korean contingent operating within the UNIFIL force in southern Lebanon. The delegation briefed Speaker Berri on the activities undertaken by the continent in the various humanitarian, social and cultural domains, since the beginning of its participation in UNIFIL until now.

Speaker Berri later received former Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Judge Bassam Mawlawi. Berri hailed the efforts made by Mawlawi during his tenure as Minister of Interior and Municipalities, especially during the Israeli aggression on Lebanon.

The visit was an occasion to discuss the country’s latest political and field developments.
