NNA – Grand Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdel Latif Derian, on Tuesday welcomed Interior Minister, Ahmad Al-Hajjar, at Dar Al-Fatwa.  

Following the meeting, Al-Hajjar described Derian as a symbol of moderation and a unifying national reference.

“I was honored to visit the Mufti, check on his well-being, and discuss national matters. He strongly supports the election of a president and the formation of the new government. People are hopeful that reforms will help rescue the country from its past crises,” Al-Hajjar stated.  

The Minister also emphasized that the government was committed to serving the people despite significant challenges. He also briefed Derian on the government's work, the ministerial statement approved yesterday, and the upcoming confidence vote in Parliament.

Derian, in turn, urged government solidarity and teamwork.

Al-Hajjar pledged to prioritize security and stability and called on citizens to cooperate in ensuring peace and order.
