NNA - At the handover ceremony at the Ministry of State for Administrative Development on Wednesday, outgoing Minister, Najla Riachy, praised her successor, Fadi Makki, highlighting his expertise and commitment to reform.
Riachy reflected on her tenure, emphasizing efforts in anti-corruption and digital transformation, despite challenges stemming from Lebanon’s crisis.
Minister Makki, in turn, acknowledged Riachy’s achievements and underscored his priorities: modernizing administrative structures, streamlining public services, and restoring public trust through effective anti-corruption measures.
Makki also emphasized implementing Lebanon’s digital transformation strategy, focusing on behavioral adaptation to new systems.
The Minister then outlined his guiding principles: transparency, evidence-based decision-making, and fostering partnerships with civil society, private sector, and academia.
Recognizing the media’s role, Makki invited journalists to a follow-up meeting within four weeks to present a detailed work plan.
