NNA - President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Thursday met with Major General, Patrick Gauchat, Chief of Staff of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO), with whom he reviewed the work of UN observers. 

Aoun emphasized the importance of implementing UN Resolution 1701, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from territories occupied in the recent conflict, and the release of Lebanese detainees.
