NNA - President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, received this afternoon at Baabda Presidential Palace, Kataeb Party Chief, MP  Samy Gemayel, with whom he discussed the developments on the Lebanese scene, in general, and in the South, in particular, in addition to the ongoing contacts to expedite the formation of the new government.

On emerging, Gemayel affirmed his support for the president, emphasizing the need for "rallying around the President of the Republic, who is the symbol of the state's authority and restoring its free decision."
