NNA - The Lebanese Army on Monday issued a statement addressing incidents of unrest that unfolded last night, involving groups of motorcyclists carrying partisan flags and engaging in activities described as provocative.
"These incidents included gunfire and acts of provocation, posing a threat to civil peace," the statement from the Army Command's Directorate of Orientation read.
In response, army units were deployed to patrol affected areas, aiming to prevent further breaches of security and stability. Several individuals were arrested, while efforts to track down other suspects remain ongoing.
The Army Command urged citizens to act responsibly in these critical times.
"We call on everyone to exercise wisdom and uphold national unity and coexistence," the statement concluded.
