NNA - Spokesman for the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" Jihad Taha stressed that "the scene of the return of the displaced Lebanese from the south to their villages and towns demonstrates the determination and will of the Lebanese people to seize their right to return and their adherence to their land and homeland, Lebanon."

He added: "In light of this majestic scene that was embodied in the insistence on return and the fall of several martyrs and wounded, we condemn and denounce the practices of the occupation in the systematic destruction of the southern villages and towns and targeting those returning to the south."

He  continued to express "solidarity and support to the brotherly Lebanese people and their valiant resistance," stressing "the depth of the fraternal relationship that unites the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples."

Taha called on the international community to "assume its responsibilities, stop the crimes and violations of the occupation, and ensure its withdrawal from Lebanese territory."
