NNA - Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, arrived this afternoon at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport, accompanied by a delegation, on a short visit to Lebanon, during which he will meet with President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun, to congratulate him on his election.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan is also set to meet with House Speaker Nabih Berri, Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and Prime Minister-Designate Nawaf Salam.
Upon arrival at Beirut airport, Prince Faisal bin Farhan was received by Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Dr. Abdullah Bou Habib, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, with a delegation from the Embassy, in addition to the Director General of Lebanon's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hani Chmaitli and the Director of Protocol at Lebanon's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Osama Khashab.
This visit is of great importance to Lebanon, as it is the first by a high-ranking Saudi official in more than 15 years and after many developments and events that took place in the country.
From the airport, Prince Faisal and the accompanying delegation headed to the Baabda presidential palace.
