NNA - President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Wednesday received at Baabda palace, Caretaker Water and Energy Minister, Walid Fayyad, who briefed him on the reality of the electricity and water sectors in the country and the measures adopted to enhance electricity supply in Lebanese regions.

President Aoun also received the Chairman of Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL), Dr. Mazen Soueid, who briefed him on the tasks of the Authority and its role in encouraging investments and exports.

Soueid highlighted the necessity of supporting and activating the role of the Authority after the formation of the new government in terms of enhancing investment opportunities that Lebanon can benefit from.

President Aoun also received Lebanese tennis player Hadi Habib and congratulated him on achieving three victories in the preliminary round of the Australian Open and his victory in the first round of the final program of the tournament. President Aoun considered that Habib's victory reflects the talents and capabilities that the Lebanese youth possess.
